Really Just A Number?

Transage or Agefluid are terms that refer to a person who identifies as a child in the body of an adult. Terms such as these have recently been taken up on social media, as many are calling it the newest part of the LGBTQ+ Community. However, there are more that continue to refute this statement, by calling them Pedophiles, and defending the LGBTQ+ Community.

Comments such as “It’s not pedophilia. It’s about identity,” have been made across the internet, whereas the opposition continues to state that it is pedophilia as people under the legal age of consent cannot agree to any form of sexual act.

There have been multiple comparisons with people who claim to be transage, and with the transgender community stating that the problem remains to be the treatment, as gender changing surgeries are present across the world, however, there is none that can physically change the age of a person.

Personally, no matter what age a person identifies as, interacting in any form of sexual acts with a minor is not something that should be practiced, and remains to be a crime across the world. Being “Transage” does not make one part of LGBTQ+ Community, and does not excuse pedophillia.
