Elon Musk becomes the Richest Man on Earth

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk surpassed Jeff Bezos on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index owing to a 4.8% jump in Tesla's share price on Thursday. 2020 might have been a massive let down for a majority of the world's population, but it certainly had not been so for the 49 year old business tycoon. Musk's net worth rose by more than $150 billion in what is being estimated as the fastest bout of wealth creation in history. It's the first time since 2017 that Amazon's Bezos has been dethroned from his position.

In the past,the Tesla CEO has made it clear that he has little interest in material things and has few assets outside his stakes in Tesla and SpaceX. His primary goal is to use his wealth to build a city on Mars.
